Anti-spam

So I clicked "Yes" on the word verification button, and it said I had to republish the blog to change it. I don't know exactly what my computer would to to it if I tried, so one of you should probably do it.

Maybe this will get rid of the spam, finally. t3h 3v!l. . .

And somehow colleges have gotten ahold of my email address. My mom is strangely happy, thinking it means that colleges are coming to me instead of me coming to them. I forsee more spam in the inbox, but oh well. . .

I this what you got?

Dear Justin,

"We are excited that you are interested in Roanoke College and look forward to helping you through the college selection process. We’d like to send you the viewbook “Things that matter” which will show you more about the College and its programs. Won’t you take a moment to complete a request form so we can mail it to you?

Request Things That Matter

We asked our freshmen, who were in your position just a short time ago, what factors impacted their decision to choose Roanoke. Here are the facts that stood out:

* 95% of Roanoke’s tenure-track professors hold the highest degrees in their fields. With fewer than 30 students in 92% of all course sessions, students enjoy high quality academics and personal attention regardless of major.
* Roanoke College’s approximately 1,900 students come from 41 different states and 25 countries. That’s a lot of diversity for a small college!
* Innovative academics at Roanoke include a three-week Intensive Learning Term when students focus on a non-traditional single course. There are also many opportunities to study abroad and prepare for a career at Roanoke.
* Roanoke graduates get jobs they love. Ninety-five percent of job-seeking seniors receive job offers within six months of graduation.

We would like for you to learn more about all that an undergraduate educational experience at Roanoke has to offer. To help you do that, we’d like to send you our viewbook “Things that matter.” This brochure details the many programs and activities available to our students. In it, you’ll learn why The Princeton Review ranks us as one of the “Best in the Southeast” and why our students love it here. Visit here to learn more. We look forward to hearing from you.

Sincerely,

Paul Schroeder
Director of Admissions"

'cause I got it, too.

I don't remember if I got one from Roanoke or not, but I got something from UNCG and Carleton College. . . ?

And they're not sending them to my address, but to my parents', so it's okay.
