Day One
Well, I've officially made it through one day at Governor's School East. Okay, it's only 4:15, but it's close enough. Justin, you still haven't emailed me. I need to see if it works with someone besides my parents. Choir is great. It's a women's choir, which I didn't find out until the opening meeting on Sunday afternoon. I would have liked to be in a mixed choir, but the music is great and we sound amazing. My roommate is really nice, and so are my suitemates. The cafeteria food isn't that great, but it really isn't bad either. There's just not that much selection. We have other classes besides our main focuses, called Area 2 and Area 3. They are supposed to push our boundaries and make us test our beliefs and question our own thoughts. Not exactly what I was hoping for. And on top of that, we're supposed to watch several R-rated movies that I really don't want to have to see. I'm not sure whether or not I have an option. However, my Area 3 class today was all right, even if it was kind of weird with no one I knew, and I'm hoping the same will hold true for my Area 2 class. All in all, it's actually fun. I'm glad I'm here, even though I miss home and having my own bathroom and everything. I'd better cut it short, I'm running out of time. Everyone needs to post a lot so I don't forget what it's like back home ^_^. I'll go on as often as I can. For now, so long. . .
